For the 2020 season, The Highlanders competed with Chronostar and were lucky enough to compete in 1 regional before everything was cancelled. Even though that happened, our tournament expereince was amazing! The Highlanders won their first Regional Winner award in the teams history! And, thats not all. The custom vision solution that we have been trying to get working, worked flawlessly the entire tournament. This was a huge team success. The Highlanders also earned the Automation in Controls award as well! We had 12 students from 6 different schools for the 2020 season.
For the 2019 season, The Highlanders competed with Gravastart in 2 regionals, the Heartland (Kansas City, MO) and Denver (Denver,CO) regionals and the Houston World Championship.
For the 2018 season, The Highlanders competed with Symatar in 2 regionals, the Heartland (Kansas City, MO) and Denver (Denver,CO) regionals and the Houston World Championship. The team, made up of 6 team members, had an incredibly successful season, winning our first robot perfomance award, the Carver Divsion and went on to be the 2018 World Champion Finalists. Even though we had 6 team members, we had the help of many alumni and mentors.
For the 2017 season, The highlanders competed with Blitzar in 3 regionals, the Hub City (Lubbock, TX) and Denver (Denver,CO) and Vegas (Las Vegas, NV) regionals and the Houston World Championship. The Highlanders won the Innovation in Control Award, Woodie Flowers Finalist, Deans List Finalist, Gracious Professionalism Award, and Judges Award for the 2017 season!
For the 2016 season, The highlanders competed with Magnetar in 2 regionals, the Arozona North (Flagstaff, AZ) and Denver (Denver,CO) regionals and the Houston World Championship. The Highlanders won the Engineering Inspiration award, Woodie Flowers Finalist, Deans List Finalist, Gracious Professionalism Award, and Chairmans Award, Regional Finalists and championship Gracious Professionalism Award!
